About the platform

Surgery in Motion School is the main portal for urologists where they can link up and share video-content on surgical procedures. SiM aims to stimulate learning and trigger a critical view of surgical procedures and techniques and their evidence-based application in clinical practice.

The SiM platform fulfils the needs of surgical residents and surgeons at a time when expectations are high for surgeons to possess adept surgical skills with new technologies, while facing the current reality of less training hours due to work-hour restrictions and lack of opportunities.

Surgery in Motion School offers trainees and surgeons a systematic training scheme outside of work, at their own convenience and pace. The platform includes top-notch videos of urological surgical procedures performed by the world’s best specialists, and explained in a step-by-step manner through segmented videos of one to two minutes. Residents and urologists can easily navigate the video for surgical techniques and procedures, complementing their theoretical education and motivating them to discuss and share content with other users.
