Clip the adrenal vein: If possible, this should be done in an early stage to prevent hypertensive flares due to the dissemination of adrenal hormones.

• The adrenal vein is further dissected under the liver border. Being aware of the short course of this vein is of great importance since abrupt movements can cause easily a laceration of this vein or of the inferior caval vein.
• The adrenal vein is then clipped with a hem-o-lock clip, introduced by the tableside assistant.
