Description
In this video, we present the OLV technique of Holmium Laser Enucleation of Prostate.
It is a modification of the original technique as described by Kuntz et al..
There are few secrets in enucleating ths side lobes: just follow the plan you already develloped in the first step.
Finally, at the apex, you will often be left with a mucosal rim between 10 and 12 and 12 and 2 o'clock. We suggest you get this rim as narrow as possible by enucleating the adenoma as far as possible up to 12 o'clock. Cutting the mucosal rim may not be performed to distal because this could cause injury to the sphincter. This rim should be incised at a point that can be callibrated to the level of the verumontanum or by taking it down at the level of prostatic tissue, thus away from the sphincter.
