Description
In this video, we present the OLV technique of Holmium Laser Enucleation of Prostate.
It is a modification of the original technique as described by Kuntz et al..
In the original technique, the procedure starts with a bilateral bladder neck incision at 5 and 7 o'clock, starting at the level of the orificia, which is then extended up to the verumontanum. We prefer to start at the apex, left and right side, 1 cm proximal from the verumontanum, the latter to avoid blood vessels at the exact level of the verumonatum. At this spot, it is very easy to find the correct plane between adenoma and peripheral zone.
Following this plane, you will easily progress your enucleation of the side lobe but also of the middle lob.
